The Preferences - Diagnostics dialog box is one of the pages that appears when you choose the Edit > Preferences command on the main menu bar. It allows you to set the global defaults for the diagnostic messages that are issued during a project preflight check or build.
Note: You can fine-tune diagnostic message reporting on a per-configuration basis by clicking the Advanced... button on the MSI or Tarma build configuration attributes pane.
For more information and a full list of diagnostic messages, see Diagnostic messages.
This dialog box contains the following fields and options.
Check a box to let Tarma ExpertInstall report messages of the corresponding severity, or clear a box to suppress messages of that severity. You can override this for individual messages by using the Always report or Never report options.
Enter a comma-delimited list of message identifiers that must always be reported, even if other messages of their severity are suppressed. You must include both the message category and the message number, for example BLD:Q0096.
Enter a comma-delimited list of message identifiers that must never be reported, even if other messages of their severity are enabled. You must include both the message category and the message number, for example BLD:Q0076,BLD:Q0081.
Click this button to initialize the dialog's fields from the factory defaults. This removes any customizations that you may have added.
