Introduction

A Localized String is localizable text that is used by the installer as a message or as a text fragment in some dialog boxes. Localized strings are stored as string resources in the installer and identified by number:

MSI note The Windows Installer equivalents are Action Text, Error Message, and Localized String.

Attributes

This pane contains the following attributes and options.

Attribute Description
Name or #ID Name or string identifier; for an identifier, the name must start with the hash sign #.
Localized text Localizable text for the message or text fragment.
