TIN Assistant

The TIN Assistant page gives you a central place from where to create new projects or open existing ones. It contains a list of the most recently used projects for quick access, plus buttons to create a new project or browse for an existing one.

Note - See Overview of Tarma QuickInstall for a general introduction to Tarma QuickInstall and its projects.

How to find the TIN Assistant page

Use one of the following methods to go to the TIN Assistant page:

Creating a new project

To create a new project from the TIN Assistant page, click on the Create New Project button. Tarma QuickInstall will create a new project for you, set up defaults for most settings, then display the Project page.

See Overview of Tarma QuickInstall for a general overview of the project definition process.

Opening a recent project

To open a recently used project, look through the Recent projects list, click on the title of the project that you want to open, then click on the Open Recent Project button. As a shortcut, you can also double-click on the title of the project that you want to open. Tarma QuickInstall will open the project file for you, then display the Project page.

Tip - If you often open the most recently used project, you may find it convenient to check the Open the most recent project on startup box. Until you clear the box again, Tarma QuickInstall will automatically reload the project you last worked with whenever you start Tarma QuickInstall.

Browsing for an existing project

If the project you want to open does not appear in the Recent projects list, you can browse for one by clicking on the Browse for Project button. This opens a standard Windows Open dialog, from which you can browse for a Tarma QuickInstall project on your computer or network neighborhood.

Note that this is also the preferred method of converting Tarma Setup 1.x Setup.ini files. See Upgrading from Tarma Setup 1.x for more information about the conversion process.
