The Installation aborted page appears when the installation process failed or was cancelled by the customer. It displays a reminder that the installation process is not complete and the following two options:
If the customer selects the first (default) option, Setup uninstalls whatever got installed so far before terminating. In the second case Setup saves the partial installation log before terminating but performs no cleanup, thus leaving behind a probably unusable partially installed application. However, the partial installation log allows the customer to uninstall the failed installation at some later time by simply starting the Setup.exe program from the installation folder.
See the description on the Setup - Welcome page. Note that the caption of the Next > button is replaced by Finish to indicate that the installation process is over.
When the customer clicks the Finish button, Setup either removes the partial installation or saves the partial installation log for subsequent uninstallation (see discussion above), then terminates.
