The Tarma QuickInstall software consists of two separate applications: the TIN Builder development environment and the TIN Setup installer. They have slightly different minimum system requirements.
The TIN Builder development environment is used to develop and build Setup packages. It runs as Tin.exe on the developer's computer and is never distributed to customers. The system requirements for TIN Builder are:
TIN Setup is the actual installation program that is distributed to customers as part of distribution packages created by Tarma QuickInstall. It runs as Setup.exe or a derived name on the customer's computer. The system requirements for distribution packages that contain Setup.exe are:
Note — Depending on the needs of your application, you may further restrict the target system requirements of Setup packages that you create. Setup checks these requirements when the customer runs the Setup package and will inform the customer of any discrepancies. This does not, however, affect the ability of Setup itself to run on those systems.
