Unregistered users - Trial mode
After downloading and installing a product, you can evaluate Tarma Installer 5, Tarma ExpertInstall 3 and Tarma QuickInstall 2 in Trial mode subject to the following restrictions:
- The installers that you create in Trial mode will run on any system, but expire 8 hours after you create them.
- The installers may be used for evaluation purposes, but not redistributed.
To distribute your installers, please buy a registration code. The registration code unlocks the installers for royalty-free distribution and entitles you to free technical support and free minor updates within the product type (Installer 5.x, ExpertInstall 3.x, or QuickInstall 2.x).
Registered users - Full mode
If you have registered Tarma Installer 5, Tarma ExpertInstall 3 or Tarma QuickInstall 2 previously, then the download will update your current version. You do not have to re-register, and you do not have to uninstall the previous version first - the new version will automatically uninstall the previous version, while retaining your settings and registration information.
Distribution of installers that you create as a registered user is unrestricted and royalty-free. You are also entitled to free technical support and free minor updates within the product type (Installer 5.x, ExpertInstall 3.x, or QuickInstall 2.x).

Add-ons for Tarma Installer 5
These add-ons install additional libraries for Tarma Installer 5. The libraries can be added to your project by using project items; see Using project items and Using Windows side-by-side assemblies for details.
- The add-ons require Tarma Installer 5.1 or later on your system and will not install on earlier versions.
- You only need these libraries if you are creating an installer for a product that relies on these libraries. They are not required for normal operation of Tarma Installer.
- We recommend that you only download and install the add-ons that you need, to avoid confusion between the different versions of each library that are available.
- Please refer to Using project items and Using Windows side-by-side assemblies for details about these add-ons and the best way to use them in your projects.
- Use these add-ons in preference to the Microsoft MSI-based merge modules, which add a lot of unnecessary clutter to your project.

Digital signaturesThe Tarma Installer download files are digitally signed by Tarma Software Research. After downloading, you can verify the signature by right-clicking on the downloaded file and choosing Properties. Then click on the Digital Signatures tab.
